  • The Diamond Pin award is the highest honor bestowed upon a dealer globally and the winners are selected by the Volkswagen Brand

Mumbai: Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, bestowed the Diamond Pin on dealer principal, Mr. Ritesh Nayyar, Volkswagen Ahmednagar.

The Diamond Pin is an annual award given to select Volkswagen dealers across the globe who continuously displays operational excellence in sales, servicing, customer satisfaction and parts sales over the years. While this year there were a total of 61 winners across the globe, Mr. Ritesh Nayyar received a spot among the best from over 10,000 Volkswagen dealer partners worldwide. 

Congratulating Mr. Nayyar on receiving the honor, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “We are extremely grateful as a dealership from India is awarded the Diamond Pin, the highest honor bestowed on a dealership within the Volkswagen Brand globally. This award honors the efforts of Mr. Nayyar and the entire sales team and aftersales team for their hard work in offering the best service to customers with exemplary standards. We extend our best wishes to the entire team at Volkswagen Ahmednagar for their continued commitment and exceptional contribution towards building the Volkswagen brand in India” 

On receiving the award, Mr. Ritesh Nayyar, Dealer Principal, Volkswagen Ahmednagar said, “With customers at the centre of everything we do, this is one of our key business priorities and we are honoured to receive this recognition from Volkswagen.  This is a result of the combined efforts of our sales and service staff who have continuously demonstrated a customer-centric culture throughout the customer’s purchase and after sales journey. Mr. Ritesh Nayyar from Volkswagen Ahmednagar is the third Volkswagen dealer principal to receive the prestigious pin in India. Mr. Bhandari from the West region, Volkswagen Pune dealership was the second Volkswagen dealer principal whereas, the first dealer principal was Mr. Sathish Kumaaran, Ramani Cars Pvt. Ltd., from the South region of Volkswagen in India.

  • Volkswagen conducted the Sarvottam Skill Contest- Hunt for Champions aimed at rewarding and recognizing excellence among dealership employees

Mumbai: Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, recently conducted the Sarvottam Skill contest titled “Hunt for Champions”, for dealership employees across India. While awarding a total of 18 finalists from a variety of categories, building a robust network and investing in people, the Sarvottam Skill Contest, engaged employees in an interesting way by encouraging and motivating them to excel in their respective fields.

The Sarvottam skill contest recognizes excellence in the following categories: Service advisors, Technicians, Parts managers, Customer care executives and Body & Paint shop technicians. The contest saw a total of 2,700 Volkswagen dealer employee entries across its network in India. The entries were further filtered to include online round, regional rounds where 54 regional champions who were identified participated at the grand finale that took place at the Volkswagen training Academy, Chakan, Pune. 18 National toppers were awarded as winners by Mr. Steffen Knapp, Director Volkswagen Passenger Cars at the Sarvottam National Conference in Mumbai.

Addressing the winners of the contest, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “We at Volkswagen do everything we can to inspire our dealership personnel across India with our best practices from across the globe. This is because we believe that a satisfied employee is the key to making Volkswagen the preferred brand in India. Our Sarvottam skill contest sets us firmly on that path and this is the fourth consecutive year that Volkswagen has held a national competition for its partners who aims to improve service quality among its network and further enhance customer satisfaction.”

The participants went through grueling sessions of evaluations where they were evaluated on their skills required in their official tasks, personal attributes and were tested on their orientation towards quality in processes and customer satisfaction.

Sarvottam hunt for champions is a part of the reward and recognition program under the umbrella of Sarvottam.  These awards were given away at the Sarvottam annual conference of Volkswagen inviting more than 460 participants from the entire network pledging to offer the best of talent.

Mumbai: Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, today announced an upward revision of the prices for its carlines effective January 2018. The increase of up to INR 20,000 will be depending on the model across the Volkswagen product range in India.

Commenting on the announcement, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “The price increase is essential on account of several external economic factors as well as fluctuations in the global commodity price and local input cost and is in line with industry. The impact will be across the product range in India.”

With the recent launches of Tiguan and Passat, Volkswagen now has a diverse portfolio of products in every segment for the Indian consumer.
