Speed-dependent volume control adjusts the audio system's sound output to the current speed of the vehicle so that the passengers have the impression that music is always being played at the same volume. In order to achieve this, the radio system either has an interface with the CAN data bus or the speedometer signal is picked up via a separate contact. The volume is then automatically adjusted using the information on the vehicle speed.
