Hill Descent Assist

The hill descent assist function in the Touareg allows safe, controlled descents to be made in first gear thanks to the engine management's ability to govern the engine speed and apply the brakes if necessary. Hill descent assist allows drivers to negotiate extremely steep drops simply and safely. The vehicle's speed is maintained at a constant crawling pace without the driver having to do anything, greatly easing the burden on the driver in this critical situation.
